We’re excited to introduce Anastasia, our dedicated Frontend Developer. Since joining Klayr, Anastasia has worked hard on bringing our new Explorer to life. She is driven by the challenge of building user-friendly blockchain solutions, but there is so much more to her than that. Join us in getting to know more about Anastasia´s journey with Klayr.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
My name is Anastasia. I joined Klayr as a frontend developer, where I’ve been working on the new web explorer. I left Russia 2.5 years ago and got the chance to start a new life in the Netherlands, where I’ve been able to follow my dream of becoming a JavaScript developer. I now live in Almere with my wife, daughter, our dog, and our cat.
What are your passions and hobbies?
I love reading, and two of my favorite books are 1984 and The Little Prince. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new places and trying new activities with my family and friends. I’m also a big fan of craft beers, especially ones with unique flavors—one of my favorites is a Tomato Gose with red pepper.
What brought you to Web3?
What drew me to Web3 is the potential for decentralization and the ability to give users more control over their data and assets. I was really excited by how blockchain technology can revolutionize industries by removing intermediaries and creating more transparent, trustless systems. As a developer, I saw the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology, which allows for innovation in ways traditional web development can’t. The idea of contributing to an open, decentralized internet where ownership and data privacy are prioritized was very appealing to me. Plus, it’s an exciting challenge to build user-friendly interfaces and systems in such a rapidly evolving space.
What’s your go-to productivity hack when you’re deep in coding?
My go-to productivity hack when I’m deep in coding is to break tasks into smaller, manageable chunks and focus on one thing at a time. If I feel like I’m getting stuck or slowing down, I take a short break—whether it’s going for a walk, stretching, or just getting some fresh air. This helps me come back with a clear mind and often leads to finding solutions faster than if I kept pushing. Another technique I rely on is constant refactoring. Keeping the code clean and modular as I go ensures that I won’t need a massive refactor later, and it helps maintain productivity throughout the process.
If you could have any superpower to help you as a developer, what would it be and why?
I’d love the superpower of perfect focus. Imagine being able to fully concentrate for hours without getting distracted while still maintaining energy and creativity. It would make deep work so much more effective, and I could complete complex tasks in half the time while keeping the quality high.
What excites you the most about working with and at Klayr?
What really stands out to me is the incredible team. Everyone here is passionate about what we do and committed to helping each other grow. There’s a genuine sense of collaboration and pride in our work, which makes every day engaging. Whether we’re solving complex technical issues or discussing different things, it’s a team where you feel supported and constantly inspired to do your best
For developers interested in joining blockchain companies, what would you recommend?
Blockchain is a highly community-driven space, and one of the best ways to get involved is by joining forums like Ethereum StackExchange, Reddit, or Telegram groups dedicated to blockchain development. Contributing to open-source projects on GitHub is also a great way to build your reputation and connect with others in the community.
Networking and attending events like conferences, hackathons, and meetups are excellent opportunities to learn, get inspired, and showcase your skills. Many blockchain companies look for developers who actively participate in these events and demonstrate their abilities in real-world projects.
What is the message you want to send to other Klayniacs?
My message to fellow Klayniacs would be to keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. We’re part of something truly exciting in the Web3 space, and every one of us plays a key role in making blockchain technology more accessible and powerful.
